The Story of How This Business Started
Let me tell you the story of a good friend, who shall remain nameless, for the sake of the story let's call him Bob. This man worked his whole life, making a decent income, married his high school sweetheart in his early twenties and raised three beautiful children. Bob and his wife were straight laced their whole life. Both of their employers randomly drug tested so they never even considered smoking something that was illegal.
Bob tried everything the doctor offered, but always hated the feeling the way the pharmaceutical drugs made him feel. One day, Bob was complaining about his back, one of Bobs long time friend, offered him a joint, and told him it may help with his pain. That evening Bob sat down with his wife, and they took a few puffs off the joint. According to Bob, and his wife, Bob had the best night sleep he has had since he retired, and his back pain didn’t wake him up a single time that night. That is the story of how Bob found the cure to his back pain.
Bob started to realized that he can’t afford this wonderful treatment for his back pain. No insurance company will pay for his medical marijuana, and the his pension wasn't enough to pay for his medicine. The cost of cannabis was just simply out of his budget.
He didn’t know what to do, he wasn’t about to go back to work, after being retired for a few years, he knew that he had to make sure his retirement funds would last. He needed his medicine but couldn’t afford the high cost that is being charged at the dispensaries, so he had to find another way.
Bob and our founder, Andrew met at a THC expo in Detroit’s Midtown. Bob and Andrew got to talking about growing in a residential house environment. Bob had been reading every book he can find about growing indoors, but hasn’t quite made the leap into actually growing himself.
